How to quickly choose LED driver to make lamps

Answer:After receiving the customer's order, we can quickly select the following LED driver parameters according to the order requirements;

1. Input voltage requirements. Commonly used input voltage specifications are: full voltage input AC100-240V, Japan, the United States  other markets can choose AC100-120V specifications of led driver,of course, can also choose full voltage input led driver, Europe, australia  other markets can choose AC200-240V led driver, of course, also choose full voltage input led driver.

2. Power requirements.According to the order power (how many W)lighting efficiency requirements,choose LED dirver power ,driver efficiency, lamp whole lamp power = power output power/power supply efficiency.

3. Certification requirements. According to whether the order has requirements for certification, it can be determined whether to choose the power supply conforming to safety regulations, EMC power supply or ordinary power supply.

4. Power factor correction (PFC)  total harmonic distortion (THD) requirements. According to the order, we can choose the LED driver that meets the requirements of the corresponding PFC  THD, for example, the requirement of the pf0. 9 thd15%

5. Based on cost requirements: Choose whether to use isolated LED driver or non-isolated LED driver

According to the above basic parameters, we can roughly choose the LED driver that basically meets the requirements. Next, we need to design the lamp board separately according to the serial relationship of the lamp board, to confirm the output voltage , output current of LED driver.

a.       According to the number of lamp beads on the lamp board, choose the output voltage range requirement of LED driver, total lamp bead voltage = single lamp bead voltage * Number of lamp beads. The total lamp bead voltage is required to be within the output voltage specification range of the LED driver.

b.       According to the total number of lamp beads on the lamp board, choose the output current requirement of LED driver. The total lamp bead current      =  rated current of a single lamp bead * The number of lamp beads. The output current of LED driver is less than the total lamp bead current, and the           lamp bead current should be used as much as possible. LED constant current driver, constant current precision is normal ± 5% ± 3%, etc.
