Differences:
The infrared induction wavelength is between 770 nm and 1mm, which is the infrared decoding mode of active infrared working band;
Microwave induction wavelength is about 1mm to 1 meter, which is the general name of decimeter wave, centimeter wave and millimeter wave. Based on Doppler effect, plane antenna is used to transmit high frequency electromagnetic wave through antenna and receive and process reflected wave, so as to judge the movement of objects within the coverage.
Advantages and disadvantages:
Infrared induction: the induction distance is general, the angle is relatively small, and it is greatly affected by environment, temperature, dust and so on; The detection of infrared induction head needs to be exposed, and Fresnel lens must be installed to obtain different induction ranges and induction distances, so the PIR induction head needs to be exposed through opening holes during installation. During induction, there should be no object blocking in front of the sensor head, otherwise it will not work normally.
Microwave induction: the induction distance is further, the angle is wide, there is no dead zone, no lens is needed, and it can penetrate acrylic, glass, plastic, wood board and thin non-metal materials; It is not affected by environment, temperature, dust, etc. The reflection speed is fast and the concealment is good. It can be directly placed in the non-metallic shell without opening a hole for the induction antenna, which is convenient to install; There is a thin non-metallic object blocking gear in front of the induction antenna, which has little influence on its induction performance.
